Mrs. Karla Zuercher
Owner and Chief Instructor

Karla Zuercher is a 5th degree Black Belt and fully certified instructor of Choong Sil Taekwondo Federation (CTF). While she started her training to enjoy the activity with her boys, she found her home in the martial arts world. For most of her life, she has served as a teacher of children and adults in various capacities. With a passion for teaching, she is extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with students and families. She enjoys watching them grow and learn life lessons through their training.

Ms. Zuercher won the title of CTF National Champion in 2017, 2018, and 2019. In July 2018, she traveled with the US International Team and had the privilege of competing at the World Championships in Birmingham, England. She is looking forward to the next World Championships in 2023.


Mr. Thomas Ghee
Assistant Instructor

Thomas Ghee received his 4th degree Black Belt in Taekwondo in February of 2022. Teaching and encouraging young children has been a longtime dream of his, and he is thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to do this. He acquired the position of Certified Assistant Instructor with the C.T.F. in 2017. With an incredible drive to push himself to higher goals, he is drastically improving his skills as a competitor in the CTF National circuit. He has his eyes set on a National Title and joining the US International Team. He is a certified instructor in Krav Maga and the head instructor of the Krav Maga program here at Franklin Family Taekwondo.


Mrs. Stephanie Stanley
Assistant Instructor

Stephanie Stanley received her 2nd degree Black Belt in February of 2022. She has always enjoyed teaching fitness classes for people of all ages. Now, as an assistant instructor, she oversees Taekwondo classes as well as the afterschool program. While she does not compete in tournaments, you can always find her on the sideline supporting our Taekwondo Family.

Mr. Tim Grove
Assistant Instructor

Tim Grove received his 4th degree Black Belt in June of 2021. He has been involved with Taekwondo almost his whole life and is a dedicated martial artist. In competitions, Mr. Grove has won CTF National Championships as well as Golds and Silvers at various international Tournaments. Not only does he enjoy pushing himself to compete, but he also enjoys working with kids both on and off the martial arts floor. He is in the process of obtaining full Instructor Certification and increasing his time at Franklin Family Taekwondo.
